Day 13 - No bingeing
I am thinking more today about excuses for not losing weight. I think one of my biggest excuses (even though I don't say it to myself or acknowledge it in a straightforward way) is I'm not that big. Fortunately, my weight does not mean I worry about fitting into a booth or breaking a chair. It does not add any risks to my health. I think subconsciously the price of not changing doesn't always seem so terrible.
However, my weight does make me uncomfortable, more inhibited, less confident, negative, and unmotivated. I am trying to own this and keep it at the forefront of my mind, so I can attack the problem. At the same time, I want to be careful not to harp on myself about my body because we all know that doesn't lead anywhere positive.
"You need to know where your finish line is, and that's not just some number on a scale. It's the way you want to feel physically and emotionally. It's the way you want to relate to the people around you and respond to the situations you encounter." -Lisa Delaney
